Simon is a friendly, happy, cute and playful 2-3 year old Corgi/Beagle mix rescued from the Animal Friends of the Valley Shelter. He weighs 33 lbs., a great medium size! He has a beautiful soft coat with very nice markings typical of the Corgi breed. Simon walks well on the leash and rides fine in the car. He is very friendly and quite people-oriented; he is not pushy, dominant, or aggressive. He would probably be fine with kids.

Simon does fine with all dogs, male and female, big and small. He is a great dog who enjoys playing interactively with other dogs, be it wrestling, chasing each other or exploring the yard together. He can also totally chill near you on a pet bed or carpet while you work on the computer. He currently lives in a foster home with two other boy dogs, but he has also been at the rescue’s main location with multiple dogs.

Simon is still adjusting to life in the foster home. He is eager to please and learn. He is a super sweet and loving dog who likes to be near the people and be included. Simon would love to have a home to call his own where he can feel secure and know that he has found “his place.” Simon’s best fit is a home with a yard and another welcoming pup to be his pal and playmate. However, Simon must be an indoor dog with outside access. He cannot be excluded to the outdoors. Adopted dogs must be allowed in the house to mingle with and hang with the family, and must be allowed to sleep inside the house. Simon is potty-trained (however potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment). He is crate-trained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night however; he prefers that his crate be placed where he can hear the people nearby.

Simon is neutered, fully vaccinated (including rabies), front-lined, dewormed, and microchipped. If you are interested in Simon, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail.
