Helloooooooo!!!!!! My name is Herbie, and I’m a 1-year-old beagle boy! Well, actually I’m a beagle-basset mix, which means I have a really low and very resonant aroooooo! My foster parents think I sound like a cute and furry dinosaur. Like any self-respecting puppy, I LOVE to play, but I also love snuggling with my foster mom and dad and any other dog, human, or animal that will let me.

I can get pretty excited, but I always do my best to follow directions—all I ever want to do is make my people happy. I’m really grateful to my foster parents and Midwest BREW for saving me from a not-so-happy fate at an animal control facility. Now that I’m at my foster home, I love playing with my foster brother and sisters, and I can’t wait to find my forever home so that I can start my second chance at life!

As much as I love playing, cuddling, and long walks, I also really love sleeping. My foster mom thinks I am really cute because I snore like a buzz saw. I am crate trained and I sleep well at night, but every morning after breakfast, I love to climb into bed with my foster parents and snuggle (and snore!) right next to their heads!
