Diezel's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Diezel's Story...
Please meet Diezel! He is a 7 year old, 70 pound, white and tan English bulldog. He originally came to BBR as an owner surrender, after his owner no longer felt he was in the best environment - He was in a house full of dogs, and his he was showing aggressive behavior towards other dogs. He is great with people, but strongly dislikes other dogs.

Diezel is such a sweet cuddly boy, that will love his owners unconditionally. He will lay with you in bed all day, if you let him. He also loves to take walks, but should be kept away from all dogs that aren't also on leashes. If other dogs come up to him, he will feel threatened. Diezel loves to nap when he's home, but can also be pretty playful if you want him to be. He can easily be persuaded to play with balls and chew toys, but will quickly stop if you walk out of the room. He wants to be by your side almost all the time when you're home. He also loves car rides. He doesn't do much more than nap in the car, but if he knows you're going to get in the car, you better believe he wants to go with you! Diezel also enjoys roaming around the house and can handle stairs very well. In regards to kids, Diezel would likely do best with either no kids at all or kids that are 12 and older... Older children that know how to respect dogs would be the best.

Diezel hasn’t spent any time with cats, but with his territorial tendencies, it would be best that he is the only pet in the house. Diezel has done pretty well when he's gone to the groomer and the vet. The dogs are usually in cages or on leashes, and he will be okay if he doesn't feel threatened. Diezel also seems to have more issues towards medium and larger sized dogs.

Diezel never seems to get enough hugs and kisses and cuddles from his people. If you let him, he will never leave your side. Sometimes Diezel has an excited growl - It usually means he wants something, is really excited, or needs your attention. Diezel enjoys short walks and rides in the car. When people come to visit, he will bark at first, and sometimes jump a little, if not told otherwise. This should always be something you need to remind him not to do. Diezel doesn't typically try to jump on anyone other than his human visitors, due to his excitement. He loves all the attention he can get from visitors or people passing by who stop and ask if they can pet him.

Diezel is not aggressive around food, or toys (unless you try to play tug-of-war). If you put your hand in his dish when he eats, he will not growl or even try to move your hand. He will even let you take his bowl away from him. He likes to eat his two meals a day of Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison, and has not had any allergies because of his strict diet. He is a very healthy bulldog, and only needs a little maintenance cleaning his wrinkles, and dabbing his nose with coconut oil. Occasionally he will lick his paws, but he understands when you tell him "No lick" and will stop.

Diezel is such lover of humans, and will never get enough cuddles. He is house trained and up to date on all his meds and shots. He's been more than wonderful in every way, with the exception of being aggressive with other dogs. In the right home and the right neighborhood, he will be someone's amazing best friend and family member. Please consider opening up your heart and giving Diezel his loving furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diezel, a Columbus English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Columbus, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
