Shamus is one adorable boy ! Shamus was found as a stay on Mother's Day . We really thought someone would come looking for this precious boy , but sadly no one did . We know he is a poodle and we are pretty sure he is mixed with schnauzer - but of course that's just our best guess . He is estimated to be between 1-2 years of age and he is only 8 pounds . He will need to be groomed for the rest of his life and that is an expense that needs to be considered . Shamus is a happy boy that will follow you from room to room . He is housebroken , crate trained , walks well on a leash and is learning to like the car . He is great with the other dogs in his foster home and has a big crush on his foster sister Mavis . He barks at cats , but has not chased or tried to hurt them . Shamus loves a lap to sit on and is a very good boy and easy to care for . His one downfall - he can be a bit of a barker , but we are working on that . Shamus LOVES everyone he has met and has been a huge hit at the vet and local petstore . Homechecks are a requirement of our adoption process so we would like to stay in a 50 miles radius of his foster home in Aurora . Shamus will be neutered on May 27 and will be adoptable shortly after . We hope to have his forever home ready and waiting . Due to his small size and for his safety we are seeking a home with no kids or kids over 8 years of age .
