My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winnie. We pulled Winnie along with 3 other small breed dogs (all under 10 lbs each) from a high kill shelter where they were dumped by their owner. When we arrived at the pound the 4 of them was huddled together shaking uncontrollable with fear. It was the most heart wrenching sight to see. Three of them were terriers, including Winnie, and were a matted mess. They had clearly been neglected. All needed immediate medical attention and then a good grooming.

Winnie is a special girl. She is a total lap dog. If you are sitting she wants to be in your lap. She loves to curl in a little ball and sleep. She is not a big barker. She is very loving and likes to give kisses. She does great with other dogs and is curious about cats. Winnie walks excellent on a leash and enjoys laying out in the sunshine on a warm day. I do not have small children so I am unsure how she would be around kids. She would most likely be fine but being a small nervous breed it may be too much on her. We can kid test her if needed. Winnie is as sweet as sugar and you are sure to fall head over hills in love with her.

Winnie is a Shih Tzu/Terrier mix and weighs 9.60 lbs. Her birthday is estimated to be 4/15/2011. She is 4 years young. Winnie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, heart worm negative and on preventatives. Winnie also had a dental so her teeth are pearly white. We also had her back dew claws removed due to the fact that they were barely attached and could have easily been ripped out causing her great pain. Winnie is completely healthy now and is looking for her very own family, a place to call home. If you are looking for a lifelong companion who loves to be by your side, lay in your lap and give you endless kisses then Winnie is the girl for you. She truly is perfection. ADOPTION FEE $500
