Penny's Story...
Howdy, y’all! Little Penny here. I was at another rescue, but decided I wanted to chase some chickens and, well, that didn’t work out very well. They decided it would be best to move me here, where I don’t have so many irresistible opportunities to chase prey … but, hey, I bet I’d be great at barn hunting!

I really want to be in a house, though, so it would be great if we could quickly get me into a foster or forever home. I love people and am not crazy about this 10×10 yard of mine. I’m a strong, healthy (could use a pound or two) young girl about 2-3 years old, am heartworm negative, spayed and ready to roll. I get along with most dogs, but I encourage you to bring out your dogs to meet me. I want your undivided attention and need a little guidance, but am otherwise awesome.

Yep, you might say I’m all Jack Russell … even if I’m not. :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Conyers Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Conyers, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
