Tiger Lily's Story...
My name is Tiger Lily and I am looking for a great new home! I was transferred to PAWS from Furry Friends who works with the Sapulpa Animal Shelter. I had been at their shelter for a while and hadn't had any luck finding a home so PAWS said they would help me find the perfect home here in OKC. I am a very sweet petite little lady who loves people, likes to play, gets along with other cats and appreciates a clean bathroom! I haven't been exposed to children but I am willing to try with well behaved kids (and dogs too!). Maybe you are the perfect new owner for me?
All PAWS-OK cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to being made available for adoption. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only).

Some of our cats are available for adoption at the PetSmart on NW Expressway and Rockwell in OKC. Please check our website at pawsok.com and go to the "Adopt" tab to see a list of those currently available in the PetSmart Adoption Center.

The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment. You can request one at: pawsok@sbcglobal.net or pick one up at PetSmart. Thanks for adopting a rescued cat - they make the best pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiger Lily, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
