Sheldon's Story...
Sheldon is a pretty special guy. He's quirky and curious and has a totally unique personality. Sheldon greets his people like long lost friends practically giving you a bear hug when he sees you. He absolutely loves to get out for walks and is well-mannered on leash. Sheldon is great with other low to medium energy dogs and has been a wonderful companion and practice buddy for other new dogs at the facility. Sheldon can be shy when meeting strangers and likes to spend some time getting to know new friends. He has been practicing his social skills with our staff and is blossoming into a truly fantastic dog. Sheldon tells us he would love to go to an active, adult home with calm-energy people and maybe a canine pal or two.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheldon, a Washoe Valley Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Washoe Valley, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Washoe Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washoe Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washoe Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washoe Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
