Milla's Info...

I am purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Milla's Story...
Milla is a purebred Jack Russell that surprisingly enough isn't hyper or bouncing off the walls. She's really well mannered, affectionate, and intelligent. She has only been in the shelter a week or so and already knows where her crate is so that when she finishes doing her duties outside you can open the door and she will run down the hall and hop in her crate to wait for you to close the door. Milla isn't vocal either which is a huge plus. She's small, around 14lbs and a great girl.Dog adoption is 130.00 and includes spay/neuter, heartworm testing, age appropriate vaccines including a 3 year rabies, health exam, deworming, and microchipping. Any animal 6 months or older is considered an adult. No animals are vetted until they are adopted as we do not have a vet on staff. Once the animal is adopted we make a vet appointment, and they must go to be vetted before they can go home with an adopter. Call 985.651.7387 for more information regarding adoption.

Act quickly to adopt Milla. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Milla, a Laplace Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Laplace, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Laplace.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Laplace already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Laplace breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Laplace paves the way for another one to be saved.
