My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Trouper aka Braveheart. He is a very handsome, 2 year old, brown tabby that will melt your heart with his wonderful personality. When he was trapped by Indyferal, he was thought to be a stray and possibly feral, but they quickly learned two things: he is extremely friendly and he had a terrible wound on the back of his head and neck, possibly a chemical burn. The wound has healed and his hair has mostly grown back so you can only see the bare skin if you part his hair.  He is looking for a great home that will keep him safe and sound and loved. He is smart, inquisitive, loves to play and is equally happy sitting on your lap watching tv. At times he can have a slight head wobble and he does walk a little different from other cats (which is absolutely adorable!) and the vet suspects it is from cerebellar hypoplasia.  He gets along just fine and the vet said it does not require any medical attention and it will not get any worse. He does have chronic URI symptoms (watery eyes and sneezing) which is managed with lysine (can buy at most pet supply stores) sprinkled on his food and steam treatments (you can use a humidifier or bring him into the bathroom each time you take a hot shower).  It seems like the congestion builds up about every eight months to warrant a trip to the vet to get a round of antibiotics, which is only $15 at FACE clinic.  He gets along well with our older children and our cats but can play a little too aggressively with them at times.  He gets along great with strangers, seeking out attention from them but does not like to be around dogs.  I wanted to be upfront about his issues but also know he will bring the right person great joy as I have fostered him for over a year and truly adore him. He is fully vetted: neutered, rabies and FVRCP vaccines, parasite free and FeLV and FIV tested negative.

Please give his foster mom Lisa a call at 317-407-3972 if you would like to meet him. You will not be disappointed! Adoption fee is $25.00
