Connie B. URGENT's Story...
AVAILABLE 05-11-15 Connie B. was found on Okisko Rd. and taken in by the finder for a couple of days until their dog and Connie had a disagreement. So Animal Control was called to pick her up and bring her to the Shelter on May 5. We're not sure about her breed, but Connie B. seems to be mostly Corgi with some Bassett mixed into her genes. She's a friendly little girl who might be housetrained as she's ready to do her business when taken on a walk and keeps her cage pretty clean. Connie is a cute little dog - her major problem is that she tested positive for heart worms and needs to be treated; but we don't have the money nor somewhere for her to recuperate; so Miss Connie B. needs someone who can adopt her, love her, care for her, have the heart worms treated and give her a FOREVER home. IF you can help little Connie, please either come to or call the Shelter in Elizabeth City ASAP - 252-338-5222.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Connie B. URGENT, a Elizabeth City Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
