Facts about Diego

  • Breed: Rottweiler Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Diego is a sweet male Rottweiler mix that is a very bright and compliant boy! He has Rottie traits, laid back, calm and collected. He walks well on leash. This boy is stunning! His estimated year of birth is 2007 and his weight is around 75 lbs. He's up to date on all of his shots and neutered. He has done well around other dogs out in public that are around him, however meet and greets face to face with other dogs needs to be supervised and monitored during the introduction process - knowledge of dog introductions and how to do them is necessary. We are not sure about cats, he pounced at the cat we tested him with but we do not know if it was play. Diego will bond with his caregiver very well and make an awesome companion and transition into a home quite smoothly. To learn more about Diego, please email RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached.

About Smiling Dog Farms - CT Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.

Our sanctuary dogs that have been deemed “unadoptable” because they have bitten someone, or have other behavioral challenges, have a safe home with us for their lifetime and are also up to date on shots, sterilized and on heartworm prevention.

Our Adoption Process...

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
