My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Northern California Weimaraner Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Please visit www.norcalweimrescue.org to fill out our online Adoption Application

Bear, 2.5 y/o, male, Purebred, Weimaraner. Bear has been with the same family since he was a puppy and was very loved. However, the owner recently moved into an apartment and is working full time. This new living arrangement and lifestyle has left Bear’s owner with little time to devote to him, so he made the difficult decision to find Bear a new home. Bear is a big, friendly boy, who absolutely loves attention. He would love a home where he can accompany his family on long walks, jogging, and fun activities like hiking, and biking. He also enjoys playing with his toys, especially Frisbee. However, he might not give it back right away! Bear is food motivated and would love to attend obedience classes where he can learn new obedience skills and bond with his new family. He does tend to jump up on people to say "hi" and Bear is a big boy, so we are looking for a home for him without children. Bear gets along with all dogs - large and small and would enjoy the company of a dog buddy. However, he would also be fine as an only dog. We do not know how Bear would do with cats, so a home without kitties would be best. While Bear does not enjoy being crated, he is fine left home alone and will patiently await your return from work without anxiety or destructiveness. Bear is house trained, neutered, heartworm negative, and current on vaccines. Currently in Redwood City.
