Smooch's Story...
This sweet kitty wants nothing more than to be a devoted companion to his humans. Clearly lost or abandoned, he found his way to a foster family who is temporarily caring for him, and would happily keep him if they didn't already have so many cats. He gets along with everyone, but after surviving on his own, he loves to eat, but respects other kitties' plates if asked to. Although he is micro-chipped and neutered, his former family is not contacting the foster, so they may have moved from the country, or passed away. Based on when he was micro-chipped, he just turned 3, and he's very playful. His coat is medium length, he has 4 white paws, and beautiful green eyes. We think he's a Maine Coon mix, based on his ears and larger size. He would be happy to have a kitty friend, but mostly just needs human love in return for his. His foster Mom says he's one of the most affectionate cats she's ever met. He loves to give chin kisses, and cuddle on laps, or just hang near while you garden. Quite the homebody, he never strays far from his own yard. If you're looking for a great indoor/outdoor cat, (he uses his litter box perfectly!) and want a constant companion, this is your boy! Please contact his foster Mom, Dani, at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smooch, a El Dorado Hills Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in El Dorado Hills, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in El Dorado Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Dorado Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Dorado Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Dorado Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
