Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID
Miss Zoe is a purebred black/silver Miniature Schnauzer who was born in March of 2002. We know that means she is 13 years old but ignore that – she is awesome!
Zoe is easy going and just does her own thing; she is a great companion dog for someone who really wants low key and just a nice buddy to have around. Zoe likes to go out for a stroll at a nice slow pace and is good on a leash. She would be perfect for a senior who wants some company but doesn’t want a high energy dog.
She can see, but has some cataracts which makes her a bit skittish sometimes; she does better in bright light. Zoe recently had some dental work done (January 2015) and only has a few teeth remaining but she eats dry food fine. Her blood work showed slightly elevated insulin that the vet wants to recheck in July to see if she needs any medication. A little exercise and walking can go a long way in keeping her insulin levels down and keeping her healthy.
Zoe responds to her name and come, sit, and laydown. Zoe is house-broken, uses a dog door currently, but was bell trained when she was younger. She is also crate trained (although the last few months she just sleeps in her bed, no crate). Zoe does well with other dogs and while she has never been exposed to cats we believe that she would do just fine.
Zoe is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines; weighs 17 pounds.
If you are looking for a loyal companion Zoe is the girl for you. All you have to do is please fill out an adoption application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
