My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet little Pixie! Pixie is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. What is she mixed with? We are not really sure.... maybe a little French Bulldog? Maybe a little Boston Terrier? What we do know is that she is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! She's a short and stocky girl with beautiful black fur.

The shelter aged Pixie at about 3 years old. We think she may be a little younger. She was found as a stray. It's clear that she has had some puppies at some point in her young life. Pixie was a shelter favorite and we can certainly see why! This sweet girl really just wants to please people. She is friendly to everyone she meets! She loves greeting men, women, and children. She wiggles and wags right over to a person and then roll over on her back for some belly rubs. She loves playing with the toys in her foster home; she can entertain herself for a while as long as she knows where you are. Pixie is very playful with dogs. She is fine with the two calm dogs in her foster home. She also enjoys greeting the dogs in the neighborhood. Pixie would do best with another calm dog, that won't mind her energy; or she would be perfectly content to be the one and only. If Pixie had her choice, she would sit in her human's lap. When the laps of the humans in her home are not available, she will then try to sit in the dogs laps in her foster home. Her foster family gets lots of laughs because of this goofy girl!

Pixie has a whole lot of love to give. All she needs now is a family who will promise to love her forever. If you think that you would like to provide Pixie with the loving home that she deserves, please fill out an application and come to our next adoption day event to meet this sweet love bug!
