My mom, Alexander and I need your help. My name is Fred. I am a gray special needs 11 year old (as of spring 2015) domestic longhaired kitty. My “brother” Alexander is about 7 years old (as of spring 2015)…he is a totally healthy guy, longhaired, and black and white. My mom has been sick for a long time. She has been in and out of the hospital and nursing homes for the last year. It has been a really difficult time for all of us. Mom has fought valiantly…but, now she is in hospice care. They say she won’t be coming back to the apartment to us anymore. We’ve been very good boys while mom has been away and we are going to miss her so very much. She is a wonderful loving mom. Despite being so sick she has made provision for us through Hospice of Cincinnati’s “Pet Peace of Mind” program. These people promised mom that they would do their best to find us a loving home that will care for us forever like mom would do if she could. One of the pet therapy volunteers at Hospice of Cincinnati is also a cat rescue volunteer! She heard about my mom’s wishes for Alexander and I and she said she’d try to help us find a furrever home to love us. If you think you could be our furrever person please inquire about us! She will tell you all about us! Just ask for Fred and Alex!
Alex is Fully Vaccinated
Both cats are FIV/LeFV tested - NEG
Good with other cats
Good with dogs
Like older children
Alexander is a stunning male, neutered cat. He has long hair that is black, white and grey. He loves to be brushed. We are unsure of his exact age, but a guess would be somewhere between 6-8. He has no known health issues. He is very friendly and loves to be pet. He is not a huge snuggler but likes to be right by his people for a scratch. He has been an indoor/outdoor cat the majority of his life but has adjusted well to being indoors the past month. He seems to be afraid of small children but is just fine with older children, other cats and dogs. He is not shy and comes right out to greet new people.
