Merlin's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Merlin's Story...
Merlin is an utterly adorable, happy-go-lucky, one-year-old, eight-pound, male, long-haired Chihuahua looking for a loving guardian.

Merlin loves people and adores other dogs. This tiny little fellow was found as a stray in Waukegan. This sweet boy is an energetic boy who happily jumps for treats.

Merlin’s adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued pets of Tails of Hope. He is healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and on monthly heartworm preventative. Merlin’s only health issue is that he suffers from alopecia (hair loss) mostly on his ears.

He is currently at the Tails of Hope Shelter in Highland Park, Illinois.

To meet and possibly adopt Merlin, please fill in the adoption application at: http://tailsofhope.org/availabledogs.html and follow up by contacting tailsofhope@aol.com or 847-557-9554.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merlin, a Chicago Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
