FIV+ Curious.  Energetic.  Beautiful!  These words perfectly describe Tippy and Greta, two felines that at about 1 ½ years old, are just full of life!  Throw one of their toys, and they’re off on the chase.  Dangle a wand toy in front of them, and they’re primed for action.

Still a bit shy around strangers, Greta will at first run and hide, but will eventually resurface when she trusts that all is okay.  Tippy tends to hang out longer, being the braver of the two.  But Greta lets Tippy know that in spite of running off to hide, she is the boss.  They’re both good-natured, but need a bit of time to warm up to people.  They don’t like to be picked up and held, but when they’re in the mood, will sleep on their foster mom’s bed or, on her lap.

Occasionally when playing they will give love bites, so they would do best in a home without young children.  Both have been spayed and both are FIV positive.  But they are both healthy and happy and can live long and full lives, just like any other cat

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets can be seen on weekend adoption events at our local pet store Petsmart located on Forest Avenue in Staten Island NY. We try to maintain a weekend presence at this location, to make visible our pets for adoption. Our events run Saturday and Sunday from 10-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt a pet the first step is filling out a application where we ask basics on previous pet ownership, references for veterinary care and reasons for wanting to adopt. Our fee for cats/kitten adoption is 65.00 per pet which is not refundable, however any pet adopted through our organization which cannot stay in the home for any reason is able to be returned to our rescue group. Following approval of application we require a home visit to assure the basic necessities for the animal are in place and that its a safe environment. If approved the new adopters are able to take their new pet home.
