Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Punkin! A mama dog and 3 young pups were living alone on the streets in South LA. Unfortunately, as is common for stray dogs, mama and 2 of her pups were hit by cars and killed. Punkin survived but would not leave Mama, even as cars continued to drive by them, helpless, on the side of the road. A homeless man nearby said Punkin was by Mama's side crying all night and morning. Rescuers were finally able to rescue the sad and frightened pup, but not before he sustained some injuries of his own. He is being treated for bruises and swelling but is expected to make a full recovery. Punkin lives with children, dogs, and cats and gets along with them all. He would do best in a home with another dog. He has lived on the streets most of his life, so he needs a home that is patient, provides boundaries, and committed to training. He needs to be placed in a quiet home. Punkin's new family also needs to be willing to work on his shyness. He wodo best in a home with another dog as well. As bad as his past has been, this little man does not have a mean bone in his body. We believe Punkin is a Miniature Pincher Chihuahua mix and born around June 1, 2014. No guarantees on breed or age!Our adoptions are restricted to residents of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions.
