My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dallas: Whole lotta love! Dallas appeared in our front pen with a wagging tail and huge smile and has not stopped since…..

She loves to take super long walks and has a few play dates in our yard with some resident male dogs where she runs and enjoys playing with toys and cooling herself in a cool spot under a tree. She is fond of rolling on her back and just accepting belly rubs after her romp with her canine buddies but can be a bit pushy and overly playful at times so we would want to place her with a large male who can handle a lotta woman!

She has not shown ANY mean behavior at all toward other dogs but sometimes just loves them so much that a few of our guys have had to let her know to back off a bit and she listened perfectly, found a toy and went and played by herself. She does very well with young dogs too and has had great social time with some dogs just under 1 years old.

She has been affectionate and thrilled to meet people and outside of her larger size and clumsy genetics that could knock over a wee-little one, we think should could be a great family dog. She did just fine on her professional evaluation- no red flags at all. She is a strong leash walker so we would want her to continue her loose-leash walking training with someone strong enough to handle her "whole lotta love," and/or have a fenced in yard or property.

When Dallas came to us, she was a bit overweight so we attribute her being strong on a leash to inexperience walking and even within the few weeks she has been with us, her weight is normalizing and her walks and getting better and better. Her overall temperament is just fantastic so be prepared for her to be the center of attention because she wiggles her butt and smiles and dog lovers always come over to say hi to her.

She behaved beautifully at our vet, showing off her perfect adult age and attentive personality so we are super confident that Dallas will be terrific in a home environment. She is spayed, dog-friendly, people-friendly, and ready to get her beautiful self out of her cement kennel and into your home…..MUST LOVE DOGS may need to be posted in your home once she arrives!
