Mirage's Story...
Hello! My name is Mirage and I am very happy to be able to meet you. I am a sweet young girl at about 3 months old. I am a Retriever Lab mix so The folks here are guessing I will be medium size when fully grown. I am a very sweet gal, but I can be a bit shy at first meet. However, once I get to know you, I can come out of my shell. I love toys and treats and everything in between! If you think that you have the time and love that a shy gal may need, then please come on in and say hi to me!

Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mirage, a Gloucester Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
