My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nessa is a 7 year old, purebred border collie.

This is a really nice dog. She is housetrained, crate trained, enjoys the company of other dogs and loves her people. She rides well in the car and knows basic obedience. We consider her to be a dog with a moderate energy level. She also enjoys playing with other dogs. As this is being written she is wrestling with a male German shepherd!

We are told she has been around children and also is okay with cats. She is a quiet dog who we rarely hear bark.

Like most border collies, she is sensitive. If you are sad or in a bad mood, Nessa knows it and will be sad with you. She is also sound sensitive, so fireworks, thunder, etc. will cause Nessa to try to find you or a place to hide. She cannot be left outdoors when you are not home. She can clear a 4 foot high fence and will do so to come find you!

Nessa went to the groomer this week and even the groomer commented on what a nice dog she is...with a beautiful coat.

**We would like to find a home for Nessa that has at least one other dog. She doesn't necessary play with the other dogs, but does feel more comfortable being left home if she has a canine companion or two.**

Even though Nessa is 7 years old, she will require daily exercise or mental stimulation of some sort. A daily walk or run is good. Going with you to run errands is good, too! She is very devoted to her people and will make someone a very nice companion dog. She does seem to prefer women to men, although will not run from a man. She just gravitates towards women.

Nessa's adoption fee is $150. This includes spay, vaccinations, microchip, collar and ID tag.

If you are interested in possibly adopting Nessa, email findadog@hotmail.com for an application.

You must be willing to drive to southwestern Idaho to meet Nessa if you would like to possibly adopt her. Believe us when we tell you, she is worth the drive.
