My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our apologies to Nod, but we have always wanted to name 3 pups WInkin, Blinkin and Nod! These pups are siblings, whose owner turned them over to rescue. We know they are used to being inside the house and being handled by kids. And their momma is a beautiful black dog, of unknown breed, who weighs about 40-45 pounds. You can tell that these puppies are used to lots of human contact--they are extremely friendly and want to be with you all the time! WInkin is about 9 weeks old, and weighs 15 pounds.
His foster home had this to say: Winkin is clearly the most outgoing of his siblings. He is the first to engage in heavy puppy play – likes to chase them around the landscaping. He plays hard and then collapses to sleep in the crate. He has the stocky, square head of an English lab and the long legs of an American lab – the best of both breeds! He is smart and sweet – child friendly and curious. He is currently about 9 weeks old and weighs 16 pounds. He is not yet house-trained, but is used to sleeping in a crate.
Because he is still a baby, he should not be left alone for long hours and will need a stay-at-home person to continue his housebreaking, socialization and general obedience. You can meet Winkin at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first. We cannot guarantee that everyone will get their first choice of a puppy, since we often receive several applications on the same pup.
Winkin's estimated date of birth is 3-16-15 and his adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, distemper combo and bordetella vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heart worm preventative, microchip and neuter.
