Duplicate Listing - A069140 female 1 year old Dachshund/Labrador retriever mix is currently located at the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter and has been attending adoption events with Heart of America Humane Society at Ward Parkway Petsmart for the last few weeks. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when you can meet her at (816) 969-1640 and they are located at 1991 SE Hamblen Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. She weighs 29 pounds and is absolutely adorable! She may put on 5 more pounds or so as she matures. She knows sit and is very treat motivated so she should be very easy to train. She loves to play with toys. She does jump up on people so she is probably best in a home without small children. She was great with all the other dogs she met at the adoption events and loved to play with them. She does tend to pull a bit on the leash so she could benefit from some training. She may be housetrained as she didn't have any accidents at the adoption event. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when and where you can meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A069140, a Overland Park Dachshund/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Dachshund/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Dachshund/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
