Gage's Story...
This stunning dog is just a doll. He looks like like maybe an English Setter or Brittany Spaniel mixed with lab. He is approx 2-3 yrs old and 57 lbs. He is a sweet and very quiet, well behaved boy. He gets along with all of the other dogs, likes to run and play, seems to be pretty well house trained but not perfect. He does need some more leash training as he is a little scared on the leash. He has some dermatitis on his tail and a couple of spots on his legs but is on meds and they seem to be clearing up very well. He is really beautiful and just one of the nicest dogs.

If you live in MA, there are new requirements for rescue dogs - according to the State Law, all rescues have to be quarantined for 48 hrs at the Ben Elder Kennels in Westport, MA. There is additional cost for this quarantine and new required health cert by a licensed MA vet of $110. We will go over all fees with you via email.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gage, a Woonsocket English Setter/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter/Labrador Retriever for sale in Woonsocket, or seeking a English Setter/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Woonsocket.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woonsocket already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woonsocket breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with English Setter/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woonsocket paves the way for another one to be saved.
