Bunny's Story...
Bunny is one of 6 little pups that were abandoned in a plastic laundry basket in a parking lot. All 6 are really sweet & look like they may have some Schnauzer or Maltese in them. Bunny is approx 3 months old (as of May 21) and weighs 6.8 lbs. She is just the sweetest little girl and very social! Her fosters take her and her brother, Bear to a nursing home every day to visit and the patients just love them! She is not fully house or leash/harness trained and will still need some training. Bunny does love to play with toys and is just one happy little girl who would do better if she has a friend to play with
The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bunny, a Allentown Schnauzer (Miniature)/Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Maltese for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Maltese puppy from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Maltese breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
