Eliza's Story...
This ole gal was rescued from Austin Animal Services, and boy is she a sweetheart! She is estimated to be around 10 years old, but don't let her age fool you, this girl has spunk!!! She loves to go for walks. She has some sight loss, but is not yet completely blind. She maneuvers well in the home, and follows walls until she's memorized her surroundings. She'll be ready for adoption soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eliza, a Allen Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Allen, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Allen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allen paves the way for another one to be saved.
