Meet Coco! Coco is a 10 1/2 year young pit bull type gal who is taking advantage of her new lease on life (post 2nd time around in shelter). Coco was originally adopted from Los Angeles Animal Services as a youngster, but returned at the tender age of 10 due to “landlord issues.” Her previous “owner’s” landlord said he thought Coco was a liability because of her pit bull type breed. Ummm, absurd! Coco is the most gentle, loving, sweet, easy dog we have ever met. She really just wants a giant soft bed to sprawl across, good food in her belly, and someone to occassionally toss (and retrieve) the tennis ball for her. Oh, and she wants endless belly rubs.

If you’re wondering why the right side of Coco’s head is atrophied, we are too. It’s technically a mystery since we do not have Coco’s medical history and cannot say for certain how or when this happened. However, our vet believes this could potentially be a brain tumor OR it could be from some sort of blunt trauma directly to her head. Desite her atrophied head, Coco is thriving in her foster home and otherwise clinically sound. Coco may have 3 months left or she may have 3+ years left. Either way, she will be loved and care for from this point on.

*Coco does well with dogs after proper introduction, but no cats for this spry senior.
