My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cadbury is a pretty, dilute calico, DSH who is estimated at about 4 years old. Cadbury's special need is FELV. Other than this diagnosis, she is healthy and very happy. Her blood work and urinalysis are normal, and in a stress-free environment with good food and lots of love, she can live a long, healthy life. Read on to learn more about Cadbury.

If any of you out there follow the CACC Cat Transfer page, you might remember a "hump-day highlight" on that page from May, 2014. "HUMPDAY HIGHLIGHT – MEET THIS WEEK’S LONGTERM CACC RESIDENTS THAT REALLY DESERVE A CHANCE!! CAN YOU TELL HOW MUCH WE LOVE THIS PAIR? CADBURY & BUNNY ARE SO YOUNG AND HIGHLY ADOPTABLE - THEY JUST NEED A LITTLE BIT OF LOVE AND A RELAXED ENVIRONMENT TO GET OVER THEIR KITTY COLDS. " We at PPAH responded to that call of action and rescued Cadbury and her friend Bunny. In the three months we have had them in our care, these pretty ladies have been tested multiple times for FIV/FELV. Bunny consistently tested negative and Cadbury has consistently tested positive for FELV. As you may have seen on this page, Bunny was adopted two days ago. We are elated at her negative FELV tests and for her adoption into a wonderfully loving home.

Now we are the ones putting out the call to action to help us find Cadbury a forever home. Of course Cadbury is safe and sound. She is fully vetted and has a normal blood work and urinalysis results (other than the felv). Cadbury is a happy girl who purrs constantly. She will make a perfect addition to the right family. We're looking for a household with

a) no pets,
b) cats with FELV, or
c) dogs (FELV is as an immune disorder only transmittable to other cats)

This household would also have one or more compassionate adults who understand that Cadbury could live for just a few years, or for many years to come. This family would commit to regular preventative care as their vet recommends to give Cadbury the longest, healthiest life possible.
