Lucille Ball's Story...
Lucille Ball - Lucy - is a perky brown tabby with enough red in her coat and humorous antics to earn her the name Lucille Ball. Lucy is 2 years old, spayed and very talkative. She was rescued near the same fast-food chicken restaurant that Mitzi was rescued from. This place is a mecca for stray cats looking for some nourishment. However, Lucy wasn't getting nearly enough nourishment on the streets. She was emaciated when we found her. As you can see, over the past three months she has packed on the pounds and is now full-figured and happy.

Lucy may have lost her bony look during her time in our care, but she hasn't lost that charming cross-eyed gaze. We find her little crossed eyes super charming and hope you will too.

If you would like to adopt Lucille Ball, please download an application from our website and fax or email it back to us.

Adoption fee of $100 per cat includes: spay/neuter, micro-chip, flea and parasite treatment, and all necessary vaccines. Cats are tested for FIV/Leukemia. Dogs are Heartworm tested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucille Ball, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
