My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sparkles and her sister "Kona" were surrendered to our group by a woman who is very ill with cancer. She wanted to be sure her pets could be loved and cared for, and with the help of her daughter began searching for rescue groups who could accept the dogs. Most groups either did not respond to their e-mails or told them that they did not accept owner surrender dogs. We were glad to be able to help these dogs, and offer their owner--who dearly loved them--the assurance that the dogs would be safe, cared for and re-homed in a carefully selected home.

Sparkles is a little plump, but with exercise and an adjusted diet, she will slim down. She is sweet, but timid girl and already is becoming more confident around people. Sparkles would make someone a loving, devoted companion.

UPDATE: 5/23/08 Sparkles is blossoming in her foster home, and comes up to people now and wags her tail. She loves all the interesting new experiences she is having with her foster family and has discovered TOYS! She thinks they are great!!
