Chico's Story...
Meet Chico Menendez!

Do you need a little love in your life? We have a sweet little lap warmer for you!

Chico is a cuddly, friendly and oh so cute, 5 pound, one year old chihuahua. He is neutered, microchipped and UTD on vaccines.

Chico has lived with children his whole life and is in love with the little girl in his foster home and he is learning to get along with the cat (he’s doing great!). He loves other small dogs but can tend to be scared of big dogs. Chico hasn’t had a lot of experience out in the world so he can be a little shy in new situations, but he is gaining confidence everyday.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chico, a San Francisco Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
