My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Copper. I'm 4 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs.
I was picked up and brought in to the pound. My owner had passed away and nobody realized it until 4 days after. He had put me out to go potty and never came back to get me. I was a house dog my whole life, so needless to say, I was completely terrified spending 4 days (and night too) outside! When the police called the pound out to get me, I didn't exactly want to go with them. Hey, I didn't know them from anyone! But the guy spent some time with me, earned my trust and I ended up not giving him any trouble.
Back here at the pound, they have got to find out what a totally wonderful, sweet, intelligent houndy boy I am!!
I know how to sit, shake hands and lay down on command, even without treats!
I am hoping someone will see my handsome face and come adopt me soon! I really miss being in a home with a family.
If you're looking for a sweet hound to add to your family, please consider adopting me!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER MAY 25, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
