Tyson's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tyson's Story...
Tyson is a 5 yr old dogue de bordeaux/pointer mix (best guess). He has been in foster care for some time, and is patiently waiting for his forever home. How can you resist that face???
Tyson would do best in a home with older or no children. While he gets along with other dogs, he can take a bit to warm up, so introductions must be taken slowly. He would also do fine as an only dog. Unknown with cats. He has mild allergies, which is kept in check with a limited ingredient diet. Minor catch in his hip, which doesn't slow him down unless he overdoes it.
Would make a great addition to almost any family willing to take the time to get to know him. To know him is to love him. He is up to date on all medical and ready to go home now! If you are interested in Tyson, or any of our other fosters, please go to justgiants.org to fill out an adoption application. All adoption info can be found online.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyson, a Oswego Dogue de Bordeaux/English Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dogue de Bordeaux/English Pointer for sale in Oswego, or seeking a Dogue de Bordeaux/English Pointer dog from a breeder in Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dogue de Bordeaux/English Pointer breeders who help with Dogue de Bordeaux/English Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
