My name is Darwin. I am an extremely GENTLE and sensitive 3 year old red-nose Staffordshire Terrier. I weigh 65lbs, but everyone says I don't look that big! I am always curious about what you are doing- I would love to be your shadow, your lap dog and your napping buddy if it's okay with you. I know basic commands but what I really want is to feel safe and enjoy a calm environment, as I am hypersensitive to outside noises. I have been living with a foster since June 2013, and I have become so much more confident and little by little I have become less anxious around other dogs. They are so interesting to me and I would love to have a friend, but I am selective- a dominant, loud barking, or otherwise aggressive dog only scares me, as I am a LOVER. In fact, I have two male furry friends that I love to hang out with when I can! I also really love kids of all ages, I think they are fun and great company. I only want to please you and feel safe, so I would do well with a knowledgeable family who understands that I will learn fast but need lots of assurances from you that you think I’m on the right track. I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of my shots

About DOGzHAUS Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

DOGzHAUS (pronounced as DOG HOUSE) is a small, Los Angeles based CA registered non profit dog rescue organization that was formed to give a second chance to the shelter dogs. We are a 501(c)(3) rescur group and your donations are tax deductible.100% of your donations benefit our rescue dogs. The organization is run by volunteers and funded entirely by donations and adoption fees.

All our dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their shots and micro chipped before being adopted. While at the rescue, medical care is provided for each dog based on their individual needs. We can't guarantee the future health of the dog, and adopters are encouraged to take the dog to their own veterinarian for a thorough exam.

Our Goal:
*Rescuing dogs from life threatening situations at animal shelters and elsewhere.
*Finding their permanent loving homes with qualified owners.
*Assisting owners of dogs who can no longer keep them to find them new homes.
*Educating the public about the advantages of adopting dogs from shelters and rescue organizations, and about the need for spaying and neutering dogs.
*Educating dog owners and prospective owners with dogs about their proper care and training, and about other aspects of each breed.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please contact us for the adoption application form. All dogs adopted through us are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and microchipped. Because the minimum adoption donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask our adopters to help us spread the word about the important work that we do. Our adoption donation minimum is $250 for adult medium to large dogs, $200 for small adult dogs, $275 for puppies 1 year and under (any size) and $180 seniors 8 years and older.
