Nikko's Story...
This sweet girl is Nikko. She is an owner surrender. The owner did not want her anymore as she has bought a new puppy and so Nikko was just basically thrown out.:-( The previous owner actually used to smoke pot around Nikko and blow it in her face to get her high. She also kept her locked up a lot and fed her junk and that is why poor Nikko needs to get some weight off. We are not able to take her for long walks yet as she tested positive for heartworms and we had the fast kill treatment done to get rid of them and Nikko has to be on limited activity for a little while. Nikko is a wonderful loving dog and I can't believe anyone would give her up!! She is spayed,up to date on shots, house trained and gets along with everyone and everything. She does not like a crate though so we do not crate her and she doesn't bother anything but she does love her toys to chew on and play tug-of-war. Nikko is located in Arkansas but we have transport that brings adopted dogs to the Northeast weekly. For more info on this wonderful doggy-please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikko, a Hagerstown Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
