My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bodean is a young neutered purebred Black & Tan Coon Hound. He has been through a lot in his short life and he is a survivor. When he came to Rocket Dog is was obvious that he had survived major injuries, likely he was hit by a car. His right legs had been broken and healed poorly. He walks with a limp and his rear right leg is an inch too short. It seems he recovered from his injuries without veterinary attention. Yet he is a very able and active boy. Next he survived and made it out of a high kill animal shelter when we rescued him. A few weeks after he came to us. we noticed a fast growing lump on his skull. We took him immediately to our vet who recommended surgery and did it that day. Lucky for Bodean the biopsy showed it was not cancer but a benign abscess. He has a big scar on his head from this surgery, but he has survived this scare too.

Bodean is a very nice boy. He is calm and gentle. He is about 2 years old and 50 lbs. He likes other dogs and loves his people. Like most hounds, he has a voice and can be loud sometimes. He plays well with his pack mates and is a fun and happy boy. He will make someone an excellent pet.
