Requirements: The adopter must understand her stranger danger issues and understand how to work with this behavior. A minimum of 6 visits to the shelter is required where you will spend time with her, the staff who works the closest with her, and the Director of Enrichment and Behavior and/or our Behaviorist. This requirement is important to ensure that Terra has the safest and most successful adoption possible. With many dogs who exhibit a fear of people, it is crucial to understand the correct way of introducing people she doesn’t know and/or managing the environment to avoid any unwanted introductions. Terra will need continued behavior modification which could ultimately help her overcome her fear of strangers.
Terra is a great girl who loves to be with people she knows well and needs to be in a home without children. She loves to lie in pools in the summer and run around with other dogs. She loves to fall asleep on your lap and would be a great dog for a quiet home with room to run. Terra is a happy girl whose crooked smile and goofy ears can melt your heart. If you are interested in Terra and meet the requirements and are willing to take the time to get to know her please contact Animal Care Sanctuary at 570-596-2200
Disclaimer: Dog classified under this section are animals with single and/or multiple bite histories, who we feel can be rehomed under the strict guidelines and requirements that the interested adopter must follow. These guidelines are in place to provide the best home possible for the dogs.
