Benny's Story...
We rescued this old timer from the Brooklyn ACC right before he was set to be euthanized. Benny is a housebroken 13 year old, 58lb Black Lab mix who is in a wonderful foster home and looking for his FOREVER HOME.

Many of our foster homes say that senior dogs have more to offer than can ever be imagined! According to Benny's foster dad, he is a sweet, loving, and gentle boy who is so thankful to be loved. Benny gets along great with other dogs, and he LOVES being around people. He's also particularly fond of long walks on the beach. Benny is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $375. For more information and applications to foster or adopt please visit gimmeshelteranimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Sagaponack Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
