Roxy's Story...
Hi, my name is ROXY and I am a very Beautiful 9 year old tuxedo girl. I am very SWEET and GENTLE and love ATTENTION and to be PET. Sometime I cannot get enough attention and will quietly follow you around the house all day long. When you come through the door I will walk right up to you, greet you with one of my ADORABLE meows and RUB all over you. I am a real LAP CAT and I will spend hours in your lap, enjoying CHIN RUBS and MASSAGES. At night time you will find me curled up right next to you in bed. I usually go to bed two minutes after you do and my favorite place in my foster home is between my foster mum and dad. But sometimes I like to share my foster dad’s pillow with him and wrap myself around his head while he is still sleeping. During the daytime, if I am not snuggled in your lap, you can most likely find me sunbathing. And what I really enjoy is rolling around on the floor in the sun and just looking absolutely adorable and cute for your enjoyment. I do like to make eye contact while rolling around very much. They tell me that I’m a real LOVE, plus I get along well with other CATS. I enjoy a diet of mainly wet food. I am really hoping to find my forever home where I can feel safe and loved. I am spayed, UTD on shots, microchipped, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
