My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THE FIRST STEP IN THE PROCESS IS SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. WE CANNOT ANSWER EMAILS ASKING ABOUT A DOG'S AVAILABILITY. IF IT IS LISTED WITHOUT THE WORD "PENDING" IT MEANS IT IS AVAILABLE.

Pearl, Percy and Periwinkle were the Monday morning surprise for the shelter director: a cardboard box with 3 tiny puppies inside, left on the shelter doorstep overnight. At an overcrowded shelter, owner-surrenders are put down immediately but these 3 babies were so innocent the shelter director just couldn't. So he called a rescue group who took them in and now they're being fostered and given more love and attention than they know what to do with!

Pearl is the little cuddler of the group. She lays her head on you when she's picked up or held, as though trying to hug you back! She rushes up to say hello to everyone she meets, like she's been waiting for them her whole life! She has a condition called microphthalmia which means one of her eyes is smaller and underdeveloped so she has limited vision out of that eye, but she still plays and gets the "puppy crazies" with her siblings and the other dogs in her foster home as though there was nothing different about her. In fact, when the puppies first got to the foster home, the foster mom set up an exercise pen to keep the puppies contained, and it was Pearl who figured out how to jump out and explore, leaving her siblings behind in the pen! We think Pearl is about 4 months old, she weighs about 13 pounds and she is a very healthy girl. If Pearl's your girl, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting, microchip AND spay included in her $350 adoption fee. Pearl is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $150. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.
