My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Percy, Periwinkle and Pearl were the Monday morning surprise for the shelter director: a cardboard box with 3 tiny puppies inside, left on the shelter doorstep overnight. At an overcrowded shelter, owner-surrenders are put down immediately but these 3 babies were so innocent the shelter director just couldn't. So he called a rescue group who took them in and now they're being fostered and given more love and attention than they know what to do with!

Percy is the only boy and weighs only 11 pounds, but don't tell him that: in his mind, this little character think he is King of the World, especially when it comes to big dogs. He will play and roughouse with the biggest of them! Even after getting nipped on the nose or knocked over, he'll still go back for more play! He's being fostered with kids, other dogs and even a pet pot-bellied pig named Rosie who he's learned to navigate: His foster mom said he will quietly sneak up on Rosie, sniff around and, if he gets too close, he will scamper away. However, one day Rosie was laying in the yard soaking up some sun and Percy was feeling extra fearless. He actually hopped up on her stomach and stood there, like he was on a mountain top! Like his sisters, Percy also has a softer side and loves his cuddles and kisses. He's also great with the kids at his foster home. We think Percy is about 4 months old and he is a healthy boy. His breed mix is just a guess based on what he looks like, but he has none of the Sheltie vocal/herding behaviors. If Percy can be the King of Your World, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting, microchip AND neuter included in his $400 adoption fee. Percy is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $150.
