My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Redheads stand out in a crowd and our Roja ("Roja" is Spanish for "Red") is no exception. Roja is a pretty gal with shiny dark eyes and lips that curl up to form a perpetual smile. Her endearing face makes us smile, too! Well-mannered and friendly, Roja is a pleasure to walk as her leash manners are superb. She walks beautifully on a loose leash and is polite in passing other dogs. Roja is very scent-driven. Out on her walks, she's nose to the ground taking in all the odor data to be found in the park. This smart girl is very adept at keeping pace with her handler while also satisfying her need to follow her nose. Back at the shelter, Roja enjoys socializing with her fellow canines. She has done well in playgroups and will dance around happily with the other dogs. Because of her keen focus on her surroundings, Roja may initially come across as reserved in nature. However, spend a few moments with this sweet girl and she’ll quickly become your new best friend and shower you with affection. Roja will make a wonderful, loving companion for someone. We can't wait to see her find her match--could you be the one?
