Gizelle is one of the long term residents here at the Humane Society. She has been waiting for a home for over 5 years! She is a fave among the staff and volunteers. She is a beautiful shepherd/lab mix and LOVES to be around people. She doesn't especially enjoy the company of other dogs. She would need need to be in a one-dog home. Gizelle has been here for quite sometime and is too often overlooked. You can't really see how cute she is in her cage - she has beautiful big ears and a very sleek body. This dog loves running, playing and taking a dip in the doggie pools. Please take her out to the dog park to see her cute personality! Please give her a chance. Gizelle is sponsored by her special friend Pam Wicker. Thanks Pam!!! Gizelle is also sponsored by Jack and Christine Henderson. Thanks Jack and Christine!!

About Humane Society of Pulaski County

About Our Shelter...

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
