My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vada is slated to attend the AlwaysAdopt Super Adoption Day on June 7! Although we think she may be less than thrilled, as she is a sensitive soul and that is one noisy venue, lol! This absolutely beautiful girl is just about a year old. She was pulled from a high kill shelter in rural Alabama and adopted out down south as a puppy, but alas as she got a little older, what can happen in multiple female homes occurred, and the pre-existing female dog in the house started attacking her. So poor Vada has known a lot of displacement and change in her young life. She is a total angel....soft and sweet as can be. She LOVES kids - they are the moth to her flame! She has natural manners, longs to be close to you, is very pleasant on leash. The issue with the house dog has made her self protective if she around a dog too pushy and in her space, where she can be self protective, but this is an area her adopter ought to work on, as from a distance she very much wants to meet dogs. She was overwhelmed by and air snapped at the Beagle mix pups also staying at her foster's place, but the next afternoon was playing with them. Vada deserves a chance to BLOSSOM back to her fullest potential. We recommend her to an adoption-positive person who is willing to re-expose her to other dogs considerately, as she deserves that chance....she seems to love her own kind. Other than that challenge and feeling a little overwhelmed, good grief could you not ask for a nicer dog. She reminds me a bit of a Doberman in that she is naturally well mannered and likes to shadow you; in appearance, she looks like a rather lithe German Shorthaired Pointer. Sweetest girl on the planet, and very reliable. Her adoption fee is $400.
