My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Sammy, an approximately one year old bundle of energy who loves to play, but at times I may play a little too rough in my excitement. My favorite activity is playing Ninja Turtle. I hide and sneak up on my foster dog (or others), a miniature poodle, and jump out to try to get him to play with me. (Maybe that is why they put a collar with a bell on it around my neck!) He ignores me so I chase him around the house. I make my foster mom smile with my antics. I love my foster mother’s husband and greet him at the door with a big hug around his leg. After he gets me off his leg I follow him around the house and begin to race around. I am not keen on being held though. I love the little plastic balls with the bell inside so I can bat them around. I am very intelligent and want a fun and safe forever home.

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center) or at Petsmart in Smithfield.
