Meg's Story...

Meg and her sister Hayley came to us as strays from a local shelter. We think they're adorable and can't believe they haven't found homes yet! We believe they are terrier/chihuahua mixes and about 3 months old. Could one of them be the new doggy family member for you?

The best way to meet the dogs listed here is to visit us at Petsmart every weekend.  If there is a certain dog you would like to meet, please call us and let us know so we can be sure to bring it that weekend.  Please text us so we can set up a time for you to meet your new best friend if you cannot make it to Petsmart on weekends.  We are a volunteer based organization, which means we have full time jobs and families too, so please understand if we don't get back to you right away.

Due to the nature of rescue, we cannot always offer details on every dog, since many of our dogs come from surrounding shelters. We will do our best to answer questions, though!

We have a few simple forms for you to fill out.  We will also ask you a series of questions to make sure your personality and lifestyle is right for the dog.  We want to ensure you are a perfect match.  If you decide that the dog you chose isn't right for your family, we will take the dog back, but no refund is issued.  We never want to see the dogs we save end up at the pound or in the backyard all of the time.  We look forward to meeting you and helping your find your new family member!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meg, a Fresno Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Fresno, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Fresno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fresno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fresno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fresno paves the way for another one to be saved.
