  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 9598

Claire is a purfect pick for the experienced cat lover. With her uniquely shaped Cleopatra eyes, she's a beautiful, regal lady - and she knows it! Claire is looking for that special human who will understand her, and with a little patience and gentleness come great rewards. She's very charming, and once she sees that you respect her - and scratch her head the way she loves it - she'll steal your heart if you let her. All Claire really wants is just to be in your company for hours. She'll even share your chair!

Claire has been with us for a long time and she's ready to be adopted into her own forever home! She's seen many dogs and cats come and go to their new homes while she still waits. She is okay with other cats and dogs as long as they respect her space and aren't in her face. She's become friendly with her neighbor, Ashley.

Claire should go to a home without small children as she doesn't do best in an over stimulating or surprising environment. Please help Claire find someone to love! She deserves it!

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for your interest in adopting from the Animal Wellness Foundation. Below you will find information about the adoption process and where you can meet our available animals.

Our mission is to place homeless dogs and cats into loving, forever homes. We take special care to match the right home with the right pet, ensuring a lifetime of love for both the pet and the adopter.

Our adoption process was designed to help ensure that we select the best homes for our animals.

Adoption Process

1. Complete an online adoption questionnaire:

If you are interested in adopting a cat, please go to http://www.animalwellnessfoundation.org/cat-adoption-questionnaire

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please go to http://www.animalwellnessfoundation.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire/

After we receive your adoption questionnaire, one of our adoption counselor will get in touch with you.

2. Pre-Adoption Home Visit: We conduct a pre-adoption home visit prior to placing an animal to ensure that they will be living in a safe environment. During the home visit, our adoption counselors will give you tips about how to best introduce the cat/dog to your home and make the transition as easy as possible.

3. Adoption Contract and Donation: Next, both the adopter and Animal Wellness Foundation sign an adoption contract and the adopter pays the adoption donation.

Puppies (under 12 months) - $350
Adult dogs (over 12 months) - $275
Kittens (under 12 months) - $175
2 kittens (because 2 are better than 1 :) - $300
Adult cats (over 12 months) - $150

The adoption donation helps to offset part of the veterinary care and temporary boarding costs of the adopted pet. Any additional donation is greatly appreciated and will hep us to continue our lifesaving work!
