My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Roxy
Breed: Rottweiler
Age: Mature Adult/Senior
Gender: Female

Roxy is a big gentle grumbly bear of a dog, very typical Rottweiler in that she has a lot to say about everything through grunts and growls and roo-roo's, and a soft marshmallow heart. Roxy LOVES kids and will patiently sit for hours while they pet her and rub her and pay attention to her, and she complete ignores the cats. She is reliably house trained, crates easily but is also fine left loose for the workday, and walls nicely on the leash. She is between 7-9 years old, healthy besides her rough past with being starved, pregnant and living in filth. With a bath, some good food (she eats canned along with dry food since she is missing a lot of teeth due to malnutrition) she is looking good now. Roxy is tolerant of other dogs because she knows its expected of her but does not truly enjoy them- she does posture and growl when meeting new dogs but within a few minutes accepts them. In her foster home she lives peacefully with several other dogs but it took a few days of adjustment.  Ideally she'd be an only dog though, and she is a dog who prefers her own yard or walks to dog parks. She likes her peace and her people. Roxy loves chasing the Wubba toy in the yard and frolicking like a puppy, has appointed herself guardian of the middle child at the foster and spends every night lying right next to her bed, and wants badly to be someone's companion.
